3。5 stars。 I read this to my 4 & 6 year old girls。 They found parts of it funny， parts scary and parts sad。 My girls were happy that the magic finger stopped people hunting。 When I asked them at the end， they both said that they liked the story。

I read this book with my 6 year old daughter， well， actually she read it to me and she managed to read it in 3 days。 We read before bedtime and this was her first “big” book， she was so proud of herself when she finished it。 The story was good， it teaches you not to do to others what you don’t want to be done to you。
